Office 365 Business Premium
Recently Microsoft released some new office 365 packages for businesses with between 25 and 300 users. Up till now other than a couple of cases we’ve only used office 365 to provide cloud mailboxes. Exchange Online Plan 1 for £2.80 per mailbox pcm.
We’ve been migrating Microsoft Exchange on premise servers into the cloud saving our clients the hassle of having to host their own exchange servers. All that is left in the office is an Active Directory Domain Controller and File/Print server.
Additionally, rather than OEM office licenses or expensive open license copies we’ve been purchasing Office Pro Plus 365 licenses for £10.10 pcm. However pro plus is really Office Professional which is a very expensive suite and includes Microsoft Access which hardly anyone uses or needs.
We’ve tended to steer clear of the Small Business or Home packages due to various limitations. However using the enterprise packages isn’t ideal as you end up paying for more than you need.
Now however, rather than purchase those two licenses we have new “Business” licenses!
For just £7.80 per month per user you get office standard for up to 5 devices (that’s Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher and Lync), a 50Gb mailbox, 1TB of cloud storage and a hole host of other collaboration tools.
In my opinion it’s the perfect package for any SMB!
