Support for IT in small businesses – What Jolly IT will do

Starting a company and building up the client base and staffing level takes up many SME business owners time. IT equipment and support is one area where it is crucial to get professional advice. There are many IT suppliers and consultancies around to choose from. They aren’t all the same – so where do you start? Let’s look at how Jolly IT can help.

At JollyIT, we pride ourselves in having long term business relationships. Our excellent 96% customer satisfaction rating shows that it works. We believe that our high level of service is one of our key company attributes!

Open and honest, friendly service

From the start, we want your first experience with us to be a positive one. We first arrange to meet you and try to truly understand how your business works, and what your key IT priorities are.

Full audit

We like to start with a  full IT audit to know what equipment is already present and how we can support you.  If there are any areas of concern highlighted in the audit, we’ll work with you to determine the best way to resolve them.

We will discuss how staff work. For example, these days you may have most of your staff working from home, and they will need IT support from home. This is discussed in more depth in this Work from home blog and this blog about supporting your staff.

We will discuss your server options. Look at how well your internet and phone line or VOIP connections perform. Plus analyse your back-ups and storage of your business information. Check out these blogs for cloud back-ups and why you need to back-up your data.

Making a plan and proposals

Once we are happy with the projected requirements, Jolly IT will draw up a proposal to suit your needs. This will include a summary of how your business works (to make sure we fully understand it) and some recommended support options. It will also include a monthly support contract to cover all of your staff, if you have requested this, or hourly rates and what these will protect.

Once you’ve had an opportunity to go through our proposal, we can talk further about any other thoughts you may have or alterations required. Once all of the paperwork is agreed and signed, we agree on a start date. We can begin to work with you by prioritising your IT needs and ensuring a smooth transition.

Building on your IT infrastructure

Once we have started looking after your IT, we consider you one of the family! As such, we are always looking at improving your existing IT, sometimes suggesting new equipment or software, such as Office 365, other times streamlining to cut costs and unnecessary equipment. By fixing your system’s weak points and moving you towards a simple, effective and reliable IT platform – one which accelerates your growth, rather than hindering it.
