Pretty nasty ransom-ware is doing the rounds at the moment. We’ve already come across one major infection.
It infects and encrypts all your word and excel files on your PC and the network. The word from Microsoft and Sophos is that they cannot be cleaned or uninfected. The only answer is to restore from backup, a very painful time consuming process.
Without backup you WILL lose files and data so it’s important to check these are up to date.
