Celebrating Christmas is made easier with Microsoft 365. Here are some ideas on how you can use this powerful office suite to bring festive cheer. This year may mean we are not together in the same place, but it does not mean we cannot share the fun.
Christmas Cards
There is no need to spend a fortune on Christmas cards. We can never find ones with the right sentiment anyhow! Using Microsoft 365, you can easily make personalised Christmas themed cards, in all shapes and sizes. Photocards are popular, and sending a festive group photo is much nicer if it is printed and ready to display on the mantlepiece. You can write your messages inside and then print them onto the card. Packets of envelopes are easy to purchase. Or make delivery even easier with E-cards via email. You can even add music and audio messages.
Present lists
A quick search through the templates in Microsoft Excel and Access will bring you database templates. You can find templates to help you plan your budget and decide which gift is to go to who, likewise, when your child receives a gift, you can enter it into the database, so you know who to write the thank you card to.
Gift Tags and Placeholders
Word, Publisher, or PowerPoint are all great programs to design gift tags and placeholders. There is lots of clipart available to make your labels stand out. Plus, there is even a poinsettia banner to print and decorate your room with.
Christmas get-togethers
Forget Zoom! MS Teams is where it is at now! The latest update to the new together feature has a few festive backgrounds; all you need is 5 participants to activate the together mode. Placing you all together in a snowy wonderland. You can plan games and chat privately in organised breakout rooms. Here are some festive ideas to enhance your Christmas online party.
PowerPoint
The program is a favourite for making fun quizzes and presentations for sharing in online sessions. A search through the themes is bound to find something useful. A slideshow of the kids’ achievements and activities this year is sure to please and entertain the grandparents.
Premium
If you have a work or school account with Microsoft 365, then you can access the premium templates giving you even more choice! The kids will not get bored if you search for family activities as there is a good array of colouring in and Wordsearch among the offerings.
